How to Apply
Exploring and applying to a school for your child can be a daunting prospect. The TFS Admissions team is here to support you and make that process as smooth as possible.
The Admissions Department, located on our Toronto campus, handles applications for both the Toronto and Mississauga campuses.
Here is an outline of the application process:
Step 1: Obtain an application form.

or -
download an application form for Pre-Kindergarten (age 3) – Grade 12
or - request an Admissions Package (which includes an application form)
Step 2: Complete and mail the application with the following information:
- Current photo
- Proof of date of birth
- Current report card (if applicable)
- Copies of two most recent end-of-year report cards (if applicable)
- Applicable application fee
Note: A confidential report is required from student’s previous school (Grades 3 and above)
SSAT is required for Grades 6 and above.

Deadlines
As demand for openings at the school usually exceeds availability, we encourage you to apply as early as possible.
Applications for our Jardin d’éveil program for two year olds must be received no later than December 1, 2011, to be considered for the following school year. Entrants are randomly selected from the pool of applications received by the end of day on December 1 and their placement will be confirmed by December 15, 2011.
Date of submission is taken into account when reviewing an application from age 3 and up. We will accept applications after these dates, space permitting.

Step 3: Once the application is received for children applying to Pre-Kindergarten and above, the Admissions Department will contact the applicant’s family to arrange for one or more of the following:
- Testing appointment
- Student Interview
- Fun day (SK and Grade 1)
- Shadow Day (Grade 6 and above)
Step 4: Decisions will be communicated to families in writing.
Please note that new applications for children with siblings currently attending TFS and for children of alumni are given priority in terms of space availability.
