Grade 5 Students Tackle Leadership, Friendship and Pushing Limits at Bark Lake

From October 20th to the 23rd, the Grade 5 students from both the Junior School and Mississauga campus once again took to the wilderness at Bark Lake Leadership Centre in the Haliburton Highlands.  The four-day excursion emphasized leadership skills, allowed friendships to develop across both branches and taught students how to push themselves beyond their familiar experiences, all in a beautiful and safe setting.

Highlights this year included walking a tightrope high above the forest floor, visiting a water treatment facility to learn about the purification process, tackling an obstacle course requiring cooperation between partners, creating arts and crafts based on native traditions, enjoying campfires, dorm dress-ups and more.
