New Co-Curricular Opportunities at the Junior School and Mississauga Campus You might think winter would dampen certain sporting activities, but at the Junior School, new co-curricular sports are sprouting up everywhere! At Mildenhall, the new co-curricular activities, which began last Monday, include SK – Grade 1 floor hockey and basketball instructed in French, Grade 1 tennis and SK indoor soccer. Meanwhile at 296 Lawrence, new options include art dramatique for Grades 4 and 5, where students will learn excerpts of plays by French playwrights, as well as hone their drama skills. Also at 296 is the new Model UN option for the Grade 5 students. This is a younger version of the very popular Model UN club at the Senior School; Junior School participants will develop an understanding of political and economic issues at the international level, helping to prepare them to become global citizens. |
