As previously mentioned, two road ways near TFS will soon undergo major construction.

We will advise you further on the watermain replacement north along Bayview Avenue from the Granite Club to approximately Post Road as soon as that information becomes available.

More significant to the TFS community is the structural rehabilitation of the bridge on Lawrence Avenue East over Bayview Avenue, which is anticipated to begin on June 1st and end sometime in November. Please note the following key stages and timelines:

* From June through August, only the north half of the bridge will be accessible to vehicular (two-way) and pedestrian traffic.
* From August through November, only the south half of the bridge will be accessible to vehicular (two-way) and pedestrian traffic.
* After the south half of the bridge has been repaired, the middle of the bridge will be closed, leaving both the north and south sides of the bridge accessible to vehicular and pedestrian traffic.
* During off-peak (non-rush hour) and night-time hours, lanes near the construction area may be restricted on both Lawrence and Bayview Avenues.
* During night-time and weekends, closures of the ramps to/from Bayview Avenue may also occur.
* At all times during the closure of the off-ramp from southbound Bayview onto Lawrence, the entrance to TFS’ north parking lot (off Bayview Avenue) will also be closed, to ensure traffic safety on the Toronto campus.
