The Allez! Gala: what a success!
TFS families and community members are still buzzing about the fabulous Allez! Gala that took place at the Liberty Grand, Governor’s Room, Exhibition Place, on Friday, April 24th. Over 460 guests were in attendance, making for a lively and exciting evening.
With its elegant décor, majestic high ceilings and brilliant chandeliers, the Liberty Grand proved to be the perfect venue. Guests enjoyed a gourmet dinner while listening to the vibrant music of the Laura Lynn Band. And adding to the evening’s charm were our two MCs, staff members Kevin Misak and Jonathan Mott-Trille, and our two alumni guest speakers, Alexandra Floras ’02 and Benjamin Concessi ’02, who introduced a video presentation of TFS students enjoying the new Play & Sports Field.
Featuring such items as a luxurious one week stay in a private villa on the majestic island of St. Martin and dinner for six at Dr. John Godfrey’s home, guests had a blast outbidding each other during the live auction. The silent auction was equally fantastic and featured a great selection of collectible sports tickets and memorabilia, wine, children’s items, home furnishings, and original artwork by Senior School students. A special congratulations goes out to our raffle winner, Junior School parent Jennifer LeBlanc, who took home the gorgeous diamond necklace donated by Mark Lash Fine Jewelry.
On top of having a great evening, we are equally pleased to report that the Allez! Gala raised approximately $200,000 for two great projects: the new Play & Sports Field in Toronto and a new outdoor Student Common at the Mississauga campus. This would not have been possible without the generosity and effort of so many people at the School. From our wonderful event Co-chairs, Cinde Kellett and Terri Kalia, and the rest of the Gala Steering Committee, to all of the members of the TFS community who made a donation, purchased a ticket, and invested their time and energy to make this event a success, un grand merci à tous!
