Class of 2012 Already Seeing Success
It's not even close to graduation time and yet members of the Class of 2012 are already receiving news of incredible success.
On the courts (basketball courts, that is)
In December 2011, Robyn P. signed a letter of intent to play for Queen's University's Golden Gaels women's basketball team, come this September. As a member of TFS basketball teams, Robyn helped win six CISAA championships and was named Senior Female Athlete of the Year in 2009-2010.
News of the signing was widely reported and celebrated in Kingston, not only on Queen's website, but also in The Whig Standard and on other news forums.
Ready to walk those university halls
Penny D. has accepted an offer to attend the storied Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania and David K. is heading off to Georgetown University in the fall. Watch out Washington! And Victoria C. has received an offer from Bristol University's Law program in the UK.
On the scholarship side of things, Eli B. is a University of Toronto National Scholarship finalist; in the event he is not named, Eli will automatically receive an Arbor Scholarship to the university. Christine W. is a national finalist for the prestigious Loran Award, granted by the Canadian Merit Scholarship Foundation to students based on character, service and leadership potential.
Congratulations and good luck to those Class of 2012 members who have received such great news so early in the year. And remember, the Canadian cycle for university offers has just begun; the majority of responses can be expected from March through April.
Watch for further stories of success coming soon!
