Supporting Teachers
Teaching is both challenging and rewarding. At Toronto French School teachers are offered an array of resources and support in developing their teaching and leadership roles.

The TFS curriculum is unique because it addresses the requirements of the Ontario Ministry of Education, the French Ministry of Education and the International Baccalaureate organization for the IB Diploma program.

To help navigate the complexities of our curriculum, teachers in leadership roles at both the Junior and Senior Schools act as guides and resources. In addition, curriculum leaders in each subject are available to support teachers and organize in-service training and workshops. Innovation in teaching practice is encouraged and technical and pedagogical help is provided on-site for the use of information technology.

Supporting Students
Teachers are never alone in responding to individual students who might be experiencing obstacles to learning; TFS uses a group approach through its School-Based Support Team. Teachers partner with a school administrator and one of several psychoeducational consultants on staff to ensure that the student’s learning challenges are addressed and he or she is given the individual tools needed to succeed.
