The Guidance Department plays an integral role in the life of the School. Situated in a centralized, student-friendly environment, students and their families, staff and alumni can access information, assistance, and counselling on issues as wide-ranging as social, emotional and academic and experiential.

The role of the counselors is to support, to act as a resource, to facilitate transitions, and to teach a curriculum both for credit and non-credit.

Through personal counseling, classroom instruction and informational resources, Guidance offers services, information, testing and activities, including workshops, information evenings, university preparation and counseling, PSAT testing, enrichment opportunities and much more. This is designed to help students research and plan course selection with a view to post-secondary education.

Guidance also prepares a popular Summer Guide. This is a detailed and comprehensive list of summer programs and opportunities available in Toronto and elsewhere.
