Junior School Libraries – Collections | Print |

The Toronto French School branch libraries provide a well-balanced collection of print, non-print and electronic resources and offer study space and reader services. The multilingual collections cover a range of subject areas to support TFS’ international curriculum. Digital resources and the Internet also play a vital role. Each branch library continually updates its collection to ensure that a wide selection of material is available to each child.

Toronto Junior School, PK - Grade 1
The library houses a collection of 6,500 books and videos. The collection is completely in French to support the curriculum.

Every week, students visit the School’s library and, beginning in the second term of JK, students have the opportunity to choose a book to take home, on loan for a one-week period. A video/DVD loan program is offer to SK and Grade 1 students. It increases students’ exposure to the French language outside the School environment.

Toronto Junior School, Grade 2 - 5

Students and parents are encouraged to visit and to get acquainted with our growing collection of fiction, non-fiction and reference materials in both French and English. Throughout the year, parents will receive information concerning events organized in the library – book sales, book clubs, visits by authors/illustrators etc.
