The Shah’s generosity will be directed towards the redevelopment of the Senior School cafeteria, La Terrasse, which was built 18 years ago to meet the needs of only 400 students. Now, the TFS kitchen serves 1,500 students and staff in its original space, while preparing meals and snacks for the West Campus and catering over 350 events each year.
One of the core values of the Shah family is giving back to the community through philanthropic initiatives. Two generations of the Shahs have operated the Shah Canada Group of Companies, which encompasses both families’ business and philanthropic endeavors under the leadership of brothers Sujay, President and CEO, and Rajay, VP of Business Development.
Sujay and Rajay heard of the necessary redevelopment of La Terrasse and welcomed the opportunity to help with a meaningful donation, which will considerably improve the TFS experience.
“We wanted to contribute to La Terrasse because we understand that student development and engagement takes place outside the classroom as well inside,” says Sujay.
“We are an international family with a deep familiarity of sourcing ingredients from around the world and producing innovative healthy food products,” adds Rajay. “Improving students’ international food experiences with their peers was an ideal opportunity for us to help.”
TFS Foundation extends a very special thank you to both Shah families for their vision and generosity towards the A Seat at the Table campaign. The Shah family will be recognized for their generosity within the newly developed La Terrasse.
