Sunny Lowe

Ms. Sunny Lowe is a CPA, CA with more than 20 years of capital markets, finance, international tax and risk management experience mostly spent in the mining sector. Ms. Lowe is currently the Chief Financial Officer of Highlander Silver Corp. Prior to this, Ms. Lowe assumed leadership positions with various publicly traded global mining companies, such as Solaris Resources Inc., INV Metals Inc., Kinross Gold Corporation and Inmet Mining Corporation. Ms. Lowe obtained the certificate of Risk Management for Corporate Leaders at Harvard Business School and holds a MBA from the Schulich School of Business at York University. She currently sits on the Board of Directors of Elementary Royalty Corporation.
On a personal level, Ms. Lowe was born in China and grew up in Argentina and is therefore a native speaker of both Spanish and Chinese (Mandarin and Cantonese). She has two children currently attending TFS.

Vanessa Mulroney

Vanessa Mulroney is the co-founder of Power of Privé (POP), a boutique firm providing advisory services for luxury brands in the North American market. POP provides marketing, brand consultancy and communications, retail positioning and product development, talent-spotting and VIP and customer engagement services for leading global brands.
Vanessa’s career began in London (UK) where she served as Retail Editor at Condé Nast Traveller UK and later as Executive Retail Editor at Tatler magazine. A dedicated volunteer, Vanessa has founded,
chaired, or co-chaired numerous campaigns to raise funds for important community projects. Vanessa is a co-founder of The Shoebox Project, The Shoebox Project for Shelters, which distributes gifts in the form of Shoeboxes to women who are homeless or at-risk of homelessness in communities across Canada and the US. She has also led record-breaking campaigns to raise funds for Boost Child & Youth Advocacy Centre, the National Ballet of Canada, LUMINATO Gala, CAMH, and recently, co-founder of the new “Lead Her Forward” initiative.
Born and raised in Switzerland, Vanessa attended École Hôtelière (Lausanne) and speaks English, French, German, Italian and Spanish. She is a proud mother of five and a devoted member of the TFS community.

Femina Asaria

Femina Asaria is the Director of Operations of FACE Toronto. Femina has overseen the development of the clinic from its inception in 2010. With a Masters in Advertising and Marketing from the University of Leeds and prior experience in project management with Accenture, she directs the strategic vision of FACE. Her leadership style is characterized by warmth and compassion, with an emphasis on quality and attention to detail. Femina, and her husband Jamil, are parents to three TFS students.

Kristen Bechara

Kristen Bechara is currently a Management Consultant specializing in Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). This role is focused on auditing and reporting clients’ community giving, employee programs and philanthropy. In 2016, Kristen and her husband established the Eliahu Cedars Foundation in the Philippines. This foundation financially supports students in achieving their university degrees, while encouraging them to become successful and responsible citizens of the world. The foundation is part of a larger CSR program for which Kristen continues to guide and support.
Kristen started her career in New York City at an advertising agency called Rivet Global, producing direct marketing materials. Kristen has worked as Marketing Manager and Director of Marketing for The New York Times (United States), VMV Hypoallergenics (Philippines) and Goods & Services Advertising Agency (Canada). She is a mother of two TFS students.

Rachel Beckerman ’01

Dr. Beckerman is the founder of Maple Health Group and has over a decade of experience in biotechnology commercial assessment and biomedical research. Her work is centred around clinical and economic value demonstration to HTA and payer bodies in the developed and emerging markets, with a focus on the development of comprehensive reimbursement, HTA and HEOR strategies and the construction of evidence-based and user-friendly health economic models. Prior to founding Maple Health Group, Dr. Beckerman founded and led the Value Demonstration practice at CBPartners which she grew to a diverse team of 10 modellers, medical writers, and HTA experts across the firm’s New York City and London offices.
Dr. Beckerman, a TFS alumna, earned a Statistical Methods in Health Economics Certificate from the London School of Economics and holds a Ph.D. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biophysics from Columbia University. Prior to her doctorate, Dr. Beckerman earned her B.Sc. in Biochemistry from McGill University.

Kevin Cai

Jingquan (Kevin) Cai is the CFO at Runsheng Group Co. Ltd. After graduating from University, Kevin ventured into self-employment. His journey began with a two-year tenure as a Sales Manager at Runsheng Group, a comprehensive industry chain power solution service provider, and then transitioned into the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) role for a year.
In 2016, Kevin founded Bailian Runqi Electric Power Engineering and Huijing Asset Management. These ventures predominantly focussed on strategic investments in copper futures, brand management and real estate.
Kevin and his wife, Shan Guo, have two sons, who joined TFS in 2021.

Ben Cardarelli ’11

Ben Cardarelli is the Founder of Nexus, a boutique education consultancy which prepares international students to study overseas in Canadian and US high schools and colleges. He is also Founder, Chief Executive Officer of CrossFund, a fintech company which provides accredited investors with access to private investment opportunities in Asia and EMEA. Ben is an active advisor and mentor to Pre-Seed through Series A startups and a venture partner with SOSV. Prior to this, Ben was a consultant in Accenture’s Global Financial Services practice. He also ran a sports-tech company which served as official partner of the Toronto Raptors’ Giants of Africa program, and an energy company which was accelerated by MassChallenge.
Ben is a proud TFS lifer, alumni and parent. He is a graduate of Babson College with a BSc in Business Management (Finance).

Sheena Chandaria ’01

Sheena is the Director of Human Resources & Special Projects at Conros Corporation and LePage’s 2000, Inc., innovative, family-owned consumer goods and services companies. Sheena is responsible for the Company’s people strategy, organizational effectiveness, and key cross-functional initiatives that drive the business forward. She leads Human Resources with a focus on talent, performance, culture, and compliance. Known for diving into the details, Sheena plays a hands-on role in special projects across the organization, from operational improvements to strategic initiatives. She brings a sharp eye for the fine print, strong analytical instincts, and a practical approach to problem-solving, translating strategy into execution and results. Through her work, Sheena stays closely connected to the team while helping Leadership make informed, people-smart decisions that support long-term business success.
Sheena has a commitment to initiatives supporting the Arts, Women in Leadership, Health, and Environmental Conservation. In 2011, she became a founding board member of CreatiVenture Collective (CVC), a patron movement connecting small arts organizations with business and emerging patrons across Canada. She was also a founding member of the First Position Patrons through Canada’s National Ballet School (2014). Sheena was an active member of the Women Presidents Organization (2012–2019) and a board member of the McGill Women, Leadership & Philanthropy Board (2016–2018). In 2018, she and her sister Shernee co-chaired one of Toronto’s leading hospital foundations’ largest annual fundraising initiatives. Sheena served on the Canadian board of the African Wildlife Foundation (2022-2025), supporting conservation and community development initiatives. She has also worked closely with the Conros team on community engagement efforts supporting local organizations.
Sheena graduated with a bilingual IB diploma from the TFS in 2001 and then completed her Bachelor of Arts at McGill University in 2005. Sheena and her husband, Jay Vaghela, reside in Toronto, Canada and have three daughters together, with two currently attending TFS.

Adriana Gonzalez-Chong

Adriana Gonzalez comes from a background in the dental/healthcare field. Volunteer work has always been an important part of Adriana's life and was a member of the Women's Auxiliary at the Hospital for Sick Children for many years.
Having dedicated the last few years to her family, now that she and her husband, Simon, are empty nesters, Adriana is eager to continue her volunteer work, particularly with TFS, while also exploring new professional ventures. Her passion for community service and her desire to contribute meaningfully remain strong.

A pragmatic and outcomes-driven leader, Issa translates complex business challenges into transformation opportunities that deliver impact. He brings deep expertise in AI, data-driven insights and governance, advising senior executives and boards on leveraging data to drive growth and innovation. He leads with a servant leadership philosophy, building inclusive, high-performing teams grounded in accountability, growth and impact.
He and his wife, Kandia, are proud parents of two TFS students, Ayanna and Mahalia.

Andrew Ipekian ’96

Andrew attended TFS West Campus from PK to Grade 3 before leaving in 1987. After graduating from St. Andrew’s College (SAC) in Aurora, he earned a degree in Economics from Queen’s University. Today, he is the founder and owner of Andrew Ipekian Real Estate Group, a Toronto-based real estate firm that has sold over 1,000 homes across the GTA. He is a regular media presence featured on CBC News, City TV, The Globe and Mail and The Toronto Star among others for his insights on the real estate market. Additionally, he has been a keynote speaker at numerous international real estate conferences. Andrew has also served as Co-Chair of Covenant House’s Sleep Out and for the past decade has personally slept on the streets of Toronto to raise awareness and support for homeless youth. He is parent to two TFS students, James and Luke.

Fei Jiang

Fei Jiang is a Sun Life advisor with multiple years of experience in financial services, helping many HNW families to achieve their financial goals. Fei holds a Bachelor of Applied Science degree (B.A.Sc.) from the Department of Environmental Science and Engineering at Fudan University (Shanghai, China). She also holds a Master of Engineering degree (M.Eng) in Environmental Engineering from Faculty of Applied Science and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Rotman School of Management at University of Toronto.
Fei lived in Shanghai, China before moving to Toronto in 2008. She enjoys spending time with her family and playing sports such as skiing, badminton, squash and golf. Fei is a dedicated volunteer and one of the leaders in the local Chinese community. Fei and her husband Raymond Hu are proud parents of Justin, who has been attending TFS since SK.

Kristina Kaneff ’99

Kristina Kaneff (’99) is Executive Vice President & General Counsel of the Kaneff Group, where she provides strategic leadership across legal, operational and development initiatives spanning real estate, property management and golf operations. A passionate advocate for community building and philanthropy, she serves as President of the Ignat Kaneff Charitable Foundation, supporting initiatives that advance healthcare, education, housing, and social impact across Ontario. Her commitment to civic engagement is reflected through her roles as Director of the NATO Association of Canada, and a member of the Mayor’s Housing Task Force for the City of Mississauga. She has also recently been appointed as Honourary Consul General of the Republic of Bulgaria.
Kristina holds a JD from Osgoode Hall Law School, a Master of Science from Oxford University, and a Bachelor of Arts from Columbia University. She is a member of the Law Society of Ontario. Kristina is fluent in French and Bulgarian. Her children, Theodore and Christiana, are students at the West Campus.

Blake Langill

Blake Langill is a partner in EY Canada’s Assurance Services practice with over 25 years of audit, accounting and regulatory advisory experience. While at EY, he has worked within the firm’s Professional Practice Group (aka “National Accounting”) for three years and was part of growing its Financial Accounting and Advisory Services practice for five years. While much of his client portfolio has consisted primarily of listed companies from the mining, manufacturing and power & utilities industries, through his career Blake has worked with companies from a wide variety of other industries including asset management, retail, media and entertainment, real estate, telecommunications, public sector, bio-pharma, financial services and technology. Clients have included multinationals operating in various countries (primarily in the Americas and Europe) and have ranged in size in market capitalization from $25 billion to a few million. He is a proud TFS parent of two TFS alumni.

Jennifer Lassonde

Jennifer brings a background in marketing and communications, with experience across both the U.S. and Canada. She has a deep commitment to the nonprofit sector, demonstrated through her board service and volunteer leadership roles.
Jennifer has volunteered with organizations such as Mount Sinai Hospital, Guide Dogs for the Blind, SickKids, and the CNIB. Currently, she serves on the boards of Guide Dogs for the Blind International, The Pierre Lassonde Family Foundation, and the Lassonde Art Trail. In addition, Jennifer has been a long-standing member of the Foundation Board and currently serves as Chair of the Nominating and Governance Committee.
Jennifer holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree and a certificate in nonprofit and voluntary sector management. Jennifer and her husband, Christian, maintain a strong connection to TFS, where their four children have either graduated or are currently enrolled.

Mary Ann Lew

Mary Ann is a Managing Director at BMO Capital Markets, leading its US institutional equities sales efforts in Canada. Prior to that, she worked in mining investment banking at the same firm, after previous roles at the Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan Board and Ernst & Young, where she obtained her CA designation.
Mary Ann has over two decades of experience in the financial industry, building off her credentials as a CFA charterholder, with an MBA from Western University’s Richard Ivey School of Business and a B. Comm from the University of Toronto. She and her husband Andrew, along with their children Audrey and Drew, are proud members of the TFS community.

Trent Mell, Founder & CEO of Electra Battery Materials, leads Electra’s mission to create a fully integrated, localized and environmentally sustainable battery materials supply chain in North America. With 25 years of international business experience, Trent has orchestrated over a hundred transactions, from multimillion-dollar to over $10 billion, securing over $2 billion in capital. As a natural resources executive, he has extensive experience in capital markets, project development, operations and mineral processing with various companies, including Barrick Gold, Sherritt International and North American Palladium. Trent previously served on the Boards of Toronto Hydro-Electric System Limited and Boost
Child & Youth Advocacy Centre (Chair, 2016-19).
Trent holds an EMBA from the Kellogg School of Management and Schulich School of Business, a LL.M from Osgoode Hall as well as a B.A., B.C.L. and LL.B. from McGill University.
Trent and his wife, Yvonne Huh, are proud parents of Vienna and Calum. Vienna has been with TFS since 2017.

Sean has over 20 years of financial reporting and audit experience working with a broad portfolio of Canadian and US-listed entities within the financial services sector. He previously worked at EY for over 20 years with his focus having been on the coordination of EY global audit services, navigating complex accounting and internal control issues, providing support for capital market transactions and various regulatory matters. Sean is father to two TFS students and one graduate.

Stephanie Thompson

Stephanie brings a professional background in Marketing, Strategy and Communications to the TFS Foundation Board. After graduating from Queen’s Commerce, her professional career was spent between New York and Toronto working in advertising and brand marketing. A believer in lifelong learning, she returned to school, twice, first securing a Certificate in Photography from OCAD and most recently a Certificate in Non Profit Strategy and Management from U of T. She is the owner of Steph Thompson Photography and serves in advisory roles to two non profit organizations in the GTA.
Stephanie has been a dedicated parent volunteer at TFS for two decades and was named the 2025 TFS Volunteer of Distinction. Her three children are "TFS Lifers", graduates of the classes of ’21, ’24, and ’27.

Ken Tsui

As Vice President of Operations for HCK Inc. & DFC Auto Group Inc. and General Manager of Porsche Centre Downtown Toronto, Ken leads the strategic and day-to-day operations of one of Canada’s Porsche dealerships.
Born in Hong Kong, Ken immigrated to Canada in the late 1980s. After earning a business degree from McMaster University, he returned to Hong Kong to begin his career in wealth management with Citibank N.A. and HSBC Private Bank. Over the following decade, he held roles at several international financial institutions, specializing in high-net-worth client advisory, asset management, and private banking before returning to Toronto to join the family automotive business.
Inspired by his parents’ legacy of philanthropy, Ken and his wife, Shirley, actively support initiatives focused on youth education, healthcare, and elderly care. Together, they are committed to making a meaningful and lasting impact within the organization and the broader community. They are proud parents of a TFS student.

Lesley Vaughan

Lesley Vaughan studied political science at the University of Victoria, BC, but changed paths for a future in the hospitality industry owning and operating many award-winning restaurants on Canada’s West Coast. She moved to London, England where she became an operations leader for a major restaurant group. After returning to Canada, Lesley became very involved in her community and is currently the Board President of the Thorncrest Home Association, a neighbourhood non-profit club, the only one of its kind in Canada.
Lesley is a proud TFS parent, currently at West Campus.

Richard Wiltshire is Principal of Range Revenue - a GTM advisory, services and investing company. Prior to Range Revenue, Richard spent over a year at Atlassian and 10+ years at LinkedIn across sales and customer success leadership roles including serving as a member of the Canadian Leadership Team. Richard has a Bachelor of Applied Science in Engineering Science from the University of Toronto and a MBA from the Rotman School of Management.
Richard is an active community member currently serving on the Board of Directors of Friends of High Park Zoo and dedicated coach in the Royal York Baseball League with past board and advisory appointments at CivicAction, Black Professionals in Tech Network and the Indigenous Professional Association of Canada.
