Senior School Learning Forum opens its doors

We recently celebrated our school’s philanthropic spirit during the opening of TFS' Learning Forum at the Senior School.
We recently celebrated our school’s philanthropic spirit during the opening of TFS' Learning Forum at the Senior School. This event marked the culmination of a five-year journey involving teachers, students, parents and administrators who envisioned special new educational spaces in the school where students could learn, create, collaborate, access library resources and other supports, and of course, read!

Five years later, the vision has become reality, thanks to the generous and continued support of our community. Our Senior School is now benefitting from a new Learning Forum that was designed to meet our students’ and educators’ wide range of needs, locating in one central area the library, Guidance, Learning Strategies teams, the TFS Archives and IT support.

As expected, the Learning Forum has become a busy and much-used hub for the students. The spaces blend the traditional and modern and every detail was carefully considered, including new collaboration areas, a quiet study room, a digital zone with state-of-the-art technology, a genius bar for independent work, the library and archives. Filled with modern, flexible furniture, just like those in the other Learning Forums at TFS, the areas can be quickly adjusted for large groups or small discussions.

Thanks to our community’s generosity, each branch at TFS now has a dedicated Learning Forum specifically tailored to its students and educators. The Learning Forums were created to make the best use of our students’ learning days, as they work in groups or independently, talk through ideas or study quietly, relax and read with friends or complete projects.
