West Campus students honour Molière’s “Le Malade Imaginaire”

The original version of Le Malade Imaginaire was a three-act stage play written in prose and verse and performed at the Théâtre du Palais-Royal in Paris in 1673. A blend of satire and farce, the play deals with a range of themes including obscurantism, greed, quackery, gullibility and deception.
The Grade 7 adaptation of the play on our West Campus captured all those elements and more. The young actors were able to embody the characters in the play with a lot of energy and humour. Their performances were met with delight and the musical accompaniment was equally delightful. All in all, it was a memorable experience that lifted the community in the midst of winter and provided our students with wonderful cultural and human insights.
