Funding Priorities

In fall 2016, TFS launched a new strategic plan, and with it came a vision for how we will support the development of our students, as multilingual critical thinkers and citizens of the world.

Each year, in support of this vision, we have a range of very specific priorities that will enhance all branches and, with the support of our donors, are implemented so as to provide an immediate benefit to our students’ educational lives.

Our funding priorities from last year:

List of 3 items.

  • Creating inspiring spaces for teaching, learning and play.

    • Renovating the main floor of La p’tite école will include classroom upgrades to create more flexible spaces for collaborative and independent learning, and new sickbay, reception and welcome areas.
    • Building a new playground structure at the Junior School that will encourage physical and imaginative play.
    • Improving the Senior School by creating a new Socratic room to support mentorship sessions, small group meetings and student life initiatives; updating classroom technology to encourage group work and collaboration; and installing motorized basketball nets for our student-athletes.
    • Installing new AV systems in our West Campus and Senior School gyms to enhance student artistic performances, assemblies and community events.
  • Changing a life and enriching the TFS community through the Entrance Scholarship program.

Offering full entrance scholarships to talented, high-achieving students entering Grade 7 and up, who could not otherwise afford to attend TFS, and who will contribute to the TFS community.
  • Growing the Bursary Fund to support current TFS families in crisis.

Providing immediate and short-term financial support to TFS families experiencing financial difficulties.
