  • What we look for in our administration team members


    Our administration staff is chosen for the breadth and depth of their knowledge and skills and their determination to keep TFS at the forefront of teaching and learning. Occasionally, openings come up on our administrative team, in our branches or in the business office, admissions, advancement and alumni relations, human resources, IT, and marketing and communications departments.

  • TFS Shop Assistant


    Position: Casual
    Position Type:  Part time
    Hours of work: Minimum of 10 hours per week

    About the position

    Reporting to the Manager of the TFS Shop, the duties and responsibilities of this position will include the following:
    • Familiarize themselves with the school uniform and policies to be able to inform parents accordingly
    • Greet customers to the Shop and provide assistance with merchandise selection
    • Advise customers on size and care of merchandise
    • Prepare merchandise for sale / purchase
    • Use proper procedures to process sales transactions using our POS system
    • Assist in organization, restock and display of merchandise
    • Maintain sales / merchandise organization in accordance with internal control procedures for inventory control
    • Assist with receiving merchandise and inventory counts
    • Will be required to lift heavy objects, climb ladders or stand for extended periods of time
    • Other duties as assigned
    Due to the nature of this role, the individual is expected to be flexible with their working hours.

Salaries are determined according to a structured grid that takes into account the nature of the position and the candidate’s professional experience. The hourly salary range for this position is: $28.01 - $30.91

    About the position

    Reporting to the Principal and/or her delegate, as well as working with teachers or office staff, you will be responsible for:
    • Assisting classrooms and teachers
    • Helping teachers prep activities and materials which support lesson plans
    • Participating in the ravine, outings and field trips
    • Supervising, engaging, guiding and providing in-class support to students alone or in groups as required.
    • Supervising and helping students during snack, lunch, bathroom, nap and recess time; getting ready before and after recess – clothes, shoes, etc. (Ability to bend, crouch, kneel)
    • Helping maintain a tidy, clean, healthy, safe and secure environment; monitoring students re. allergies (food, hand washing, etc.)
    • Monitoring student behavior and using positive discipline
    • Replacing in the classroom during meetings or as needed
    • Using appropriate french language (reinforce the French language) and interactions, modeling positive behavior
    • Maintaining a collaborative relationship with all stakeholders
    • Assist in childcare as needed
    • Ensuring safe pick up and drop-off for the after-school care as needed
    • Performing other related duties as assigned
    • Replacement of office staff and work on administrative tasks as needed

    About the position:
    Reporting to the Principal and/or their delegate, and working in collaboration with teachers and resource staff, you will be responsible for supporting DP Level 4 and 5 students in achieving their academic goals.

    Your main goal will be to create a motivating and supportive learning environment that helps students succeed in the IB Diploma Programme. Key responsibilities include:
     
    • Understanding the diverse needs of DP Level 4 and 5 students and adapting instruction accordingly.
    • Using IB-aligned study materials and resources to foster active learning and engagement.
    • Monitoring and tracking student progress, including assignments and assessments, to provide timely and meaningful feedback.
    • Planning course content and activities in alignment with IB DP curriculum expectations.
    • Building trusting relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to support student success.
     
    Who we are looking for

    Who we are looking for:

    We recruit candidates who embrace our TFS values of integrity, discernment, respect and engagement. The ideal candidate profile is as follows:
     
    • Certified teacher (OCT or equivalent) with a degree in education (B.Ed. or M.Ed.).  
    • Experience as a Spanish teacher at the secondary level 
    • Excellent Spanish skills (native), ability to teach in Spanish
    • Conversational English (B2 level at a minimum)
    • Knowledge of the Ontario programs and International Baccalaureate (IB) Middle Year (MYP) Program.
    • Teacher certification by the French Ministry of Education (MEN) and knowledge of the French curriculum would also be strong assets.
